As the Baldur’s Gate 3 the player explained that they are excited about the full release of the upcoming game. Therefore, tommypicture is diving in as much D&D content as possible. After watching Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thievesthey read the prequel novel The Wizard’s Call showing how Doric entered the Emerald Enclave. The film and book inspired tommypicture to play as a version of Doric i Baldur’s Gate 3.

D&D because the franchise doesn’t have a perfect track record when it comes to film adaptations. But, Honor among thieves it had a much more positive reception, earning critical acclaim and bringing in over $208 million at the box office. Given the popularity of the film, it is not surprising that some Baldur’s Gate 3 players decide to base their characters on the ones from the movie.

Developers haven’t added the ability for players to change the character’s default faces recently Baldur’s Gate 3, and still doesn’t offer the incredibly detailed level of character customization seen in some RPGs. However, tommypicture did a pretty good job recreating Doric in the game. Although the player was not able to perfectly replicate the facial features of the actress Sophia Lillis, they created a good approximation of her appearance in the film.

Another commenter said that tommypicture’s character could pass as an older version of Doric.

Baldur’s Gate 3 releases on August 3rd for PC, on September 6th for PS5, and is in development for Xbox Series X/S.
