Pressure is mounting in Florida for a faster turnaround under Billy Napier

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The pressure is on for Billy Napier entering his second year at Florida, especially considering how his first year ended.

The Gators finished 6-7 losing five of their last seven games, and the skid ended with their A 30-3 loss to Oregon State in the Las Vegas Bowl.

Napier’s Gators will face a climb in the Southeastern Conference’s East Division, including back to back national champion Georgia along with resurrected Tennessee.

“The margin for error in this series is very small,” said Napier, whose Gators went 3-5 in SEC play.

Napier will have a new quarterback after kickoff Anthony Richardsonwho was responsible for 26 total touchdowns last season, went fourth overall in the NFL draft to the Indianapolis Colts.
