Spring Health expands Family Care with the announcement of Family Navigation and personalized mental health support for children of all ages

The suite of services also includes an enhanced Family Care Dashboard, which enables parents and caregivers to easily access and manage childcare. 17 years of age and younger.

NEW YORK, July 20, 2023 /PRNewswire/ – Spring Health, the most comprehensive global mental health solution for employers and health plans, today announced a new set of services to enhance its existing Family Care solution, which provides care and support for parents, caregivers, partners and children from birth to adulthood.

When any family member is facing mental health challenges, it can affect the whole family. Prioritizing the mental health of all family members can lead to improved emotional well-being, better communication and healthier relationships. However, most mental health solutions are not designed to address family mental health. Care can be fragmented and families often face long waiting times and significant complexity – especially when trying to find care for children.

Spring Health’s Family Care solution puts family mental health at the forefront with the recent Family Navigation and improved Family Care Dashboard.

Family Navigation provides white-glove guidance from an expert clinician – each family has a designated Family Connector who recommends personalized care options best suited for the family. This may include training for new parents, infant and early childhood resources and referrals, and treatment and therapy options for teens with anxiety, eating disorders, or substance use disorders.

Through the Family Care Central Dashboard, parents and carers can view and manage care for children aged 17 and under, with appointments available in two days or less on average. Convenient provider filtering options, such as condition, specialty, ethnicity, gender, language and more, ensure that each family member can receive the care that best suits their needs.

“Studies show that more than 75 percent of parents are concerned about their children’s mental health, and only half of children who need mental health support actually receive treatment,” said April Koh, co-founder and CEO of Spring Health. “We are proud to launch Family Navigation to provide Spring Health families with personalized clinical guidance for what can be a very confusing and complex experience.”

The launch of Family Navigation and the enhanced Family Care Dashboard builds on Spring Health’s existing Family Care solution, where members can invite elderly dependents, spouses and partners to independently access Spring Health. All members have access to Moments, a collection of on-demand, evidence-based tips and strategies that can help with a range of challenges, including parenting, managing anxiety, and more. Designed to be integrated into everyday life, the growing library of 150+ exercises helps foster overall mental well-being, and each takes only three to five minutes to complete.

Family Care is part of Spring Health’s ongoing commitment to removing all barriers to mental health – by recognizing and addressing the unique challenges, dynamics and interactions within the family system at every stage of life.
