The best management sim isn’t even a video game: episode 61 of the Best Games Ever

Welcome to the Best Games Show Ever episode 61: The best management sim.

Video games are a treasure if you like to manage things. People. Building. Civilizations. Transport networks. Space programs (as in NASA, not as in Star Trek). Whatever organizational or logistical problem you can imagine, there’s probably some kind of video game that tries to let you solve it. And they will surely be the Best One.

So what, according to our prestigious panel, is the best management sim? And how on earth do we say goodbye to Tom Orry, the heart and soul of our podcast? Probably by doing a whole episode tailored for him to play his little joke with. Ah, we will miss this. Honest.

You could also read the summary below, if you are someone who goes to the last page of a book (wrong, duplicate, Bad Seed).

Tom

Tom didn’t really pick Football Manager this week. Instead, he took his own life on the premise that it must have been some kind of cruel ancestral simulation run by an uncertain human race in the future for reasons known only to them.

Alex

Alex joined Football manager 2015 download in honor of Tom but also kind of despite him.

Billcliffe

James picked up Football manager 2016 because of Brexit or something. I don’t know I wasn’t listening.

“What’s the Best Game Show Ever?” you ask? Well, it’s basically a 30 minute panel show where people (Jim Trinca and Associates) decide the best game in a given category. That’s it. It is good. Listen to him.

Come back in a week for another exciting installment of the Best Game Show Ever.
