Jamie Foxx has a message for his fans.

Video message Jamie

Dressed in a black shirt, Jamie filmed the video on his phone. He said, “First of all I want to thank everyone who prayed, sent me messages. I can’t even begin to tell you how far it took me and how it brought me back. I went through something I never thought I would go through.” He also said that he did not want his fans to see him sick. “I know a lot of people were waiting, wanting to hear an update, but to be honest with you, I didn’t want you to see me as that guy. I want to see you laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, making a movie, doing a TV show. I didn’t want to see you with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through.”

Jamie thanked his family for taking good care of him. “My sister, my daughter saved my life. Thanks to the help of God and many healers, I am able to leave this video with you. My family kept everything airtight, not letting anything out, they protected me and I hope that’s what everyone can have in times like this,” he said. He also mentioned the rumors that were going around, “By being quiet, sometimes things get out of hand. Some people said I was blind but as you can see my eyes are working fine. Some said I was paralyzed, I’m just gone to hell and back. There were also some potholes in my road to recovery. But I’m coming back, I’m able to work, so I want to thank the people who let me work.”

Jamie gets emotional

At the end of the video, Jamie also got a bit emotional as his voice trailed off,
“I love everyone and all the love I’ve received. I know they talk about people crying on videos and you can always take 2 but I’m not, it’s the thing. If you see me from now on and from time to time I burst into tears it’s because it was tough, I was sick.”

He also joked that the video is not shot by a clone and let him remove his face-mask. “Some people talk about how I’m a clone, check this out… just kidding!”

He shared the video with the caption, “Thank you so much to everyone … it’s been a long road but all the prayers are amazing people and God got me through.”

Ranveer Singh left many evil eye emojis on his post. The Rock said, “I’ll hug you when I see you again.” Will Smith wrote, “Awww Man!! Who cuts onions?? Well done Foxx!! Your Light is Wanted and Understood Presently.” Viola Davis said, “God is GOOD!!!!!!!! Sending love Jamie.”

Jamie had medical complications in April and was admitted to hospital. He came back home in May. The actor and his family have not revealed the reason behind his ill health.
